Most people believe that a secret proposal photographer is just there to hide in the bushes a click a button. However, behind the scenes, my job is to be the calm in the center of your storm, sometimes literally. For instance, Sai and Aubrey's proposal. Sai and I had every detail of a gorgeous french-inspired estate engagement planned out. But, on the morning of, a massive freak snowstorm hit, and the canyon of the original location was completely blocked off. For most people, this would mean disaster. But, for us, it just meant it was time to implement Plan B. Because Sai and I had coordinated ahead of time, we had a 'code word' protocol ready to go. While he kept Aubrey occupied and cozy with a cup of hot cocoa, I met with his best friend at our backup location; the very same walkway where Sai and Aubrey first realized they were meant for each other.
The result? A moment that was beautiful AND incredibly meaningful, at the same time. When you book with me, you are booking more than just a photographer to capture the moment. You are booking an intentional strategist who ensures the 'Yes!!' happens, no matter what the weather has to say about it.

The day of your surprise proposal should not be the first time you see the spot that you will get down on one knee. As one of my engagement clients, you have unlimited access to my calendar for proposal consultations for styling, design, and support. Before the big day, we will collaborate to curate a list of at least three different plans for your proposal. I will factor in lighting, your desires for privacy, and alternatives *just* in case mother nature decides to crash the party. In addition, I will take you on a venue walk-through (whether that be in person or virtual) so that in the actual moment, you can soak in every second with the person you are about to spend the rest of your life with!

Ally & Jacob’s Proposal
The Best Coincidence
One day I was wrapping up a Senior Session, I happened upon the scene of a excited/ nervous group setting up what looked like a proposal! As a surprise proposal photographer, I went up to Jacob and offered to take some images for him. He said yes and we both anxiously awaited the arrival of his soon-to-be spouse, Ally. When she walked into the park, I watched the nervousness from Jacob’s face wash away into pure excitement. I hid behind a rock as he got down on one knee and popped the question. She said yes!
I love these moments as a proposal photographer. They weren’t my couple (at the time) but I could never pass up the opportunity to capture one of the happiest moments in someone’s life. A few months later I had the privilege of taking their first look & bridal photos. It was such a treat to be able to witness these moments of pure love. They are such a tender couple and I know they will have a happily ever after!!
