Ellie & Spencer's Rand Bryan House Wedding
Ellie & Spencer began their day with a beautiful first look in a lush garden on a bright summer morning. They went on to tie the knot in a small, intimate and private religious church ceremony.
The day continued, later at the Rand-Bryan House in Garner. When we arrived, dark storm clouds rolled in and we knew we had to move through bridal party portraits quickly! I got to work, capturing their stationary alongside their jewelry and other details while we waited for the rest of the bridal party to arrive.
Once they were all there, we moved through portraits in less than 10 minutes. I like to make sure that my couples get to spend time together alone on their wedding day. Because I place a big emphasis on this I had Ellie and Spencer come along with me to Rand Bryan house’s gorgeous open field. We took portraits under a giant oak tree and they got lots of snuggles and kisses in!

The Inside Scoop of Photography at the Rand Bryan House Wedding Venue in Garner
Something I love about the rand Bryan house is the large open acreage and landscaping around the property. The Brickhouse has a very cozy and intimate feel to it while the open outdoor space connects you back to nature, making you realize how grand this world is.
The vast, lush green property has tons of different spaces for photos and really helps create variety in a final wedding gallery.
You’ll want to keep in mind that North Carolina summers get extremely hot, and if you are planning your ceremony in the same place, to direct your party to stay indoors and drink as much water as possible beforehand. I also highly recommend that you book a separate venue for getting ready, as the home has a small greeting room that could function as a bridal suite, but the activity would be much more comfortable in a larger space with more mirrors. I especially recommend this if you want space for both bridesmaids and groomsmen, separately.
Grand Lawn at Rand Bryan House
While taking these Rand Bryan House photos, I was drawn to their grand lawn on several occasions due to its access to natural light from the open sky. I like how the lawn is framed by the large oak trees, where you can very easily escape the harsh light if the clouds decide to disappear on you.
The inside of the Rand Bryan House is quaint and small, great for intimate gatherings, but I do not particularly recommend the inside a space for portraits, especially not for an extended period of time.
